About Simo
Simo is an occupational therapist in Constellation's Victorian team, working with children and adolescents aged 4 to 18. He is AHPRA-registered and holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with Honours, and he brings a distinctly neuro-affirming, trauma-informed lens to his work with young people, including those with Pathological Demand Avoidance profiles and complex emotional regulation needs.
A meaningful part of his experience has involved animal-assisted therapy as a medium for building impulse control, sustained attention and adaptive behaviours. It's a reminder of how he works more broadly: finding the context, whether a farm setting, a school or a kitchen table, where a young person is most able to engage.
Simo administers standardised assessments including the BOT-2 and Sensory Profile 2, and he is experienced in comprehensive NDIS reporting, including functional capacity assessments and progress reports. His reports are written to be clear and useful for families and support coordinators.
Common reasons people come to Simo include sensory processing and regulation, motor skills, daily living skills, and families who need a functional capacity assessment for an NDIS plan review.
Simo works in a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed and strengths-based way. He meets young people where they are, and keeps the relationship with families and support teams at the centre of the work.
