About Shine
Shine is Constellation's multilingual NSW speech pathologist, working across Sydney and regional NSW via telehealth and mobile visits. She holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Newcastle and brings five years of clinical experience spanning paediatric language and literacy, voice, stuttering, swallowing, and adult communication.
She works in English, Mandarin and Malay, which matters deeply to the families she sees. Children growing up between languages don't always present neatly on assessments that assume one, and parents who are navigating a child's communication needs in their second language deserve a clinician who can meet them in their first.
Her clinical background is broad and genuinely across the lifespan. She has delivered the Lidcombe Program for preschool stuttering, resonant voice therapy for teenagers and adults, language and swallowing support for children with cerebral palsy and ASD, and communication therapy for adults living with aphasia and dysarthria. That range makes her a warm, capable generalist whether the referral is a toddler's first words or an older adult rebuilding language after a stroke.
A real strength of Shine's practice is engaging telehealth. Much of her recent caseload has been delivered remotely, and she treats a telehealth session with the same structure, warmth and playfulness she would bring in person, using AAC and technology where they genuinely help rather than as a box to tick.
Common reasons families come to Shine include speech sound delays, early language development, bilingual support, stuttering, literacy, voice, and paediatric swallowing and mealtime support.
Shine is patient, warm and client-centred. She meets children and adults where they are, switches easily between professional clarity and plain language, and treats parents and families as long-term partners rather than session observers.
